How do you find the perfect recipe for each new granini flavour?
What’s the ideal temperature for granini beverages to taste best?
That depends on the season of the year and on one’s personal preferences. granini Frucht Prickler, for instance, is best enjoyed well chilled in summer. Other granini beverages such as granini Samtig & Fein, in contrast, can as well be left outside the fridge some time before consumption so the fruity aroma unfolds even better.

How many calories do granini beverages have? Where can I find out more about nutritional values and ingredients?

Some granini beverages also contain sugar – why’s that?
Each type of fruit presents its own challenges when made into juice. Pears, apricots and peaches, for instance, can’t be made into a 100% juice due to their natural consistency. It’s also difficult to make delicious juice from grapefruit and currants because they are so sour-tasting. Only by adding sugar and water we can make drinkable and pleasant-tasting beverages from these fruits. By the way – all fruits contain natural sugar in the form of fructose, glucose or saccharose; some more, some less.
Is the fruit content of granini beverages as high as in other juice brands?
The minimum fruit content in fruit beverages is legally regulated. It depends on properties of the respective type of fruit, such as consistency and sugar and acid content. As a result, the fruit content in different fruit juices varies. We set a high value on the harmonious flavour of our granini fruit beverages, which we achieve by selecting the best-tasting fruit content, often in excess of the legally prescribed minimum amount.
Where do the fruits for granini beverages come from?
We buy our fruit all around the globe – wherever the best quality is available. The fresh fruits we process typically come directly from their countries of origin and, wherever possible, are bought at the very time of harvest. In this way we ascertain that granini beverages are exclusively made from the best, fully ripe fruits.
How is the long durability of granini products achieved even without preservatives?
granini products are made long-lasting in a natural way – by means of careful heating and cooling but without adding artificial preservatives. In recent years, granini has pioneered a procedure called cold aseptic bottling, a particularly gentle treatment of our juices. Furthermore, our multilayer PET bottles with their vacuum seal retain the flavour and quality of our products as securely as a safe.
When is a fruit juice really a fruit juice?
Real fruit juice is made from 100% fresh fruit. It is either filtered and processed directly after pressing or a concentrate is made, typically in the case of exotic fruits: the fruits are pressed in the country of origin; then water is gently extracted from the juice. The result is a high-quality concentrate that is easy to transport and normally reaches Europe by ship. Before bottling, we add the same amount of water that has previously been removed. In this way, a consistently high quality irrespective of the actual harvest is guaranteed all year round.
What exactly is fruit nectar?
Fruits such as sour cherry, grapefruit or currant have a high content of fruit acid. Other fruits, such as the banana, consist of a compact pulp with low water content. 100% juice from these fruits would be either too sour or too viscous. That’s why the fruit content in such beverages is typically not higher than 25 to 50%. Only by enriching these juices with water and sugar, these types of fruit can be made into delectable fruit beverages.
What exactly is a fruit drink?
Fruit drinks contain, depending on the respective variety, only 6 to 30% juice. Apart from water and sugar, the law also permits the addition of vitamins and artificial aromas.
What do the dimples on the granini bottle stand for?
The history of the granini dimples goes back to 1969. Even back then, the outstanding design of the transparent bottle drew attention. Over time, the granini bottle has become a true trademark. We like to say that each of the dimples stands for one good reason why so many people love granini.
Are granini bottles returnable?
No, according to German regulation on packaging, our PET bottles are nonreturnable. Instead we pay – as required by law – for the appropriate disposal of the amounts we put into circulation, through a licensed disposal company. Our nonreturnable bottles are disposed of via the yellow bag or the yellow bin and will duly be recycled.

Over the course of the entire manufacturing process, a granini product passes up to 50 checks – down to the final quality control prior to being shipped.
